I broke my leg. Yes, I've had a broken leg for two weeks. To me it still doesn't seem real sometimes. I broke my leg? But yes, I did. And it's a horrible thing. I'm stuck in bed all day. It's not fun...at all. Daddy and Mama do want me to start practicing on the crutches now that I've had surgery and my leg/bone is not going to move. :-) We use to have a couple pairs in fairbanks that we played with. Mama said that I'll never want to play with crutches again! Truer words could not have been said. ;-p But let's take a break from all the whining and think of the good things about the situation I'm in. We'll see how many I can come up with. ;-)
1-I had the surgery and will soon be able to walk around on crutches. (And when I do that I'm gonna post about it!)
2-It'll heal!
3-My family has practically been turned into my little bunch of slaves! Hehe. Especially Mama. ;-)
4-I've had plenty of time to watch movies. ;-)
5-I don't have to feel guilty about laying in bed all day being lazy and not helping Mama clean and watch the boys because I can't help...which is a good thing...not feeling guilty I mean...really.
6-Lots of ice cream and Popsicles. Until Daddy says no more because I need to eat nutritious food.
7-I don't have to take my dog out. (Just thought of that one actually) ;-)
8-I can sleep whenever and as long as I want. Which is very helpful after being home from the hospital where you got practically no sleep. And I know Mama wishes she could do the same. She needs sleep.
9-I get to go on the IPad...lots. :-)
10- That this happened because God wanted it to and something good will come out of it. I just have to make myself deal with this patiently and cheerfully and knowing that it happened for a reason. Because it will heal...eventually.

Yay! I thought of ten things. Not too bad. Yes, Mama has turned into my slave. Poor thing. And yes, she needs sleep. She has to take care of the boys, take care of me and help my every need, and get the house ready for when Papa and Nana come. She usually doesn't have to take care of me and plus she would get help with the boys and cleaning from me. And she's lacking in sleep. So she needs prayer. Please pray for her to stay healthy because she doesn't want to get sick from lack of sleep and pray for the boys to behave and be easy to deal with. And please pray for my leg.

Surgery

I know I'm a little late on an update about my surgery but I was stuck in the hospital for a night and part of a day. We did have the iPad and wifi so I could have written a post. And I'll admit it crossed my mind a few times to write one but I immediately went "nope". I just wasn't feeling up to it. Sorry. I know you guys love me though so you won't really care.  :-) <3  So...surgery. Well on Wednesday morning we all woke up at 4:45. Ouch. Way early but way needed as we had to be at the hospital at 5:30 and that would not have happened with a lame girl and two little boys. ;-) Since it was so early we had to take the boys. We had the neighbors watch them whenever I had an appointment but those were always during the day. So we got up and I wasn't allowed to have any food or water because the hospital said so. I was allowed to have a small sip of water so I could take my pain pill...thankfully. :-) then we left. I can't quite remember what time we got to the hospital at but we got there and of course the boys thought that it was awesome that I got to sit in a wheelchair. ;-p We signed in and headed back to the surgery waiting room. Then Daddy prayed over me before I went in and it helped me feel better. We didn't wait too long before they called me back. Mama came back with me but after it was noted I had to be put in a bed we needed Daddy strength to lift me. So Mama got Daddy so he could put me in the bed and Mama came right back. She helped me change into a gown. Then it was time for an IV. :-( They used lidocaine to numb the spot on my hand and Mama said it would burn for a few seconds pretty bad but I barely even felt it...thank goodness. Then they put the IV in which I didn't feel at all due to the lidocaine. I will admit I freaked out quite a bit about the lidocaine because I tend to freak out about needles and IVs. So then they asked questions and then we talked to the anesthesiologist and then the broken leg guy who is actually called an orthopedic surgeon but we shall refer to him as Dr.Gardener because he takes care of my leg and that's what we call him...because that's his name :-) So after a while they gave me versed (which doesnt put me fully asleep just kinda makes me loopy and out of it) and according to Mama I still didn't want her to leave me. That was one of my biggest problems, I was so worried Mama was gonna leave while I could still tell. Honestly, I cried multiple times about her not being there when I woke up. I was so afraid that was gonna happen. I am quite attached to her and I won't let the doctors do anything to me unless she's right there by me. I wanted her constantly by my side. Thankfully I don't remember them taking me away which is very good. Mama said I even turned around and put my hand out to her when they were taking me away. Oh and after we got in the surgery room they fully knocked me out. So anyhoo (in case you can't tell I kinda love my Mama ;-) <3 ) I woke up and someone was holding my hand while I was saying I wanted my Mama and they were saying that is was alright and Mama would be here soon. Yes, a nurse was holding my hand and I like that particular nurse very much. She's very sweet. (On just a regular appt. day we had to go fill out paper work before hand for the surgery and I was feeling hungry so she got me some crackers and cheese and pudding and water.) Once I realized it was 12:00 I think I knew that he had put the plate in. So then Mama came and after a little while it was time to go the recovery room where instead of just curtains it was an actual room. So they rolled the bed over to the big elevators where Daddy was waiting for us and we got taken to my room. Daddy even fell asleep on the floor. I was still very tired and wanting to sleep so I did for a little while and then we met my nurse whosename was Megan and she was very nice. I slept and ate and had a pain pill and then Megan had to go home so we got a night nurse whose name was Breanna and I liked her a lot. Mama and I barely slept that night. We got around three hours total and the rest of the time was spent complaining about being in pain, watching tv, and eating the rest of the lunch from earlier that day. Because I was hungry.  Then in the morning I got a new nurse, Laurie who was very sweet. There was a nurse on her first day there named, Lorna who was following Laurie around. I think whenever you go to the hospital and have more than one nurse you tend to get a favorite. I think I liked Breanna the best. Don't get me wrong, I liked the others too but Breanna was wonderful. Although Lorna was very nice to very slowly push the wheelchair to the car because the wheelchair was bumping a lot. Anyways, we went home and I slept until 8:00 that night and when I woke up I had to ask Mama if it was still the same day or if it was 8:00 the next morning. Haha. I didn't even know. But then we went to bed around 10:00. Then I slept until 2:00 in the afternoon. I woke up a few times but always went right back to bed. I was exhausted. So today Mama picked me up and moved me to the couch so I could have a little bit of change of "scenery". I often feel trapped constantly laying in bed. She kinda got in trouble for lifting me. Oops. But soon I'm gonna get carried back to bed (by Daddy) and then I'll go to bed soon after.

Thank you for praying for me. And guys you know what? When I know people pray for me, when I know that people are proud of me for going through hard things...I feel SO immensely loved. Because I know that my family and friends are out there praying for me and cheering me on. Guys, I LOVE that. I love YOU. Thank you. So much.

And I feel bad because it seems like I've only been saying everything about Mama. "I love Mama."  "I don't want Mama to leave me." It's not just Mama. It's Daddy too. I love Daddy. He prays for me and he gives me big long Daddy hug/snuggles. Those are great. You really need those sometimes. I love you, Daddy. Thank you, Daddy, for praying. For those big hugs. I love you so so much.

And now...pictures!! Yay! Can't you just not wait for my amazing boring photos. ;-)

All re-wrapped.  Dr.Gardener used a 1lb roll of fuzzy stuff and wrapped it all around my leg. Wow. And, Nathan, no I didn't grow. ;-)

Knee down. Geez...my leg looks HUGE.

And just to warn you. The next picture is the x-ray of the plate they put in.
Just so you know. I don't want to freak Leah out or anything. ;-)

The bottom is just apparently...I dunno you gotta ask my Mama about it for a good explanation. :-D But yeah, that's inside my leg...right now. Kinda creepy, right?

My Appt.

Earlier after I finally finished typing up that post I went and layed utside on a cot in the yard while the neighbors weren't here. It was appointment to get sunshine. :-D I got really hot after while but I got brought back inside and got a box fan blown on me. Yay! All better. My leg isn't better yet though.....duh. ;-p

I look kinda super duper ridiculous......don't I? And my other leg is on the other side of the pillows. :-)
My foot/leg kinda looks like a robot foot/leg. Sorta...minus my little toes at the top...because robots don't have toes. {]:-}) <--- I'm not really sure. I'm just gonna go with a French person wearing a beret and little curly-q mustache. Smiling. What do you think? ;-p

I love that kid. I would have one with Bub too but he's playing outside so I won't ask someone to bring him in just for that. Aha! He came in! Yay! Here's our picture. He's so handsome and adorable. :-D

Maybe I can get one with Saxons face.

And because I forgot earlier....

DAYS TILL PAPA AND NANA COME: 10 more days!!!!!! WOW

Earlier the neighbors and their friends were having a campfire and s'mores so Bubs gonna brought some stuff for mama to make me one in the mic. Thank you, Piersen!! :-D

Reason Number One My Daddy is Awesome: He just surprised me with homemade sushi. I didn't even know he had bought the stuff. :-) He's awesome.
(There is obviously more than just one reason but these can just be little random reasons on my blog)

Sorry, this post is kinda weird and there's a little of everything in it but it takes my mind of my leg and makes me happy. I like typing up stuff and putting pictures on but I feel bad making you deal with me being so odd. But I have a broken leg...so you're gonna have to deal with it. ;-p

Extra Leg Info

Hello there! On whatever day I had done my last post I was in pain so my post was short and not very explanative. That's not to say I don't have any pain now. There's always a pain there but sometimes not very bad. Like now. I have my foot elevated with ice on it. The ice helps quite a bit. So let me talk more about how things went. After the accident Mama and the neighbor rushed to get Daddy and I. From there we went straight to the ER ( obviously....where else would we go) while the neighbor stayed at the sight of the accident to take the four wheeler home. As I previously stated the hospital is very close to our home and we were very close to home when we crashed so we got to the hospital very quickly, Thank God. I got taken to a room at the ER while the nurse asked Mama questions.....you know how they do. :-)  I was in pain but unable to cry. Later I got laughed at (not really) because Mama and the neighbor said as soon as they came to the accident I wasnt even like "It hurts!". They said the first thing I said was "Don't let them do anything to it until I can't feel it!!" Believe me, I was extremely concerned they were going to set it before giving me pain medicine or before knocking me out. Trust me, the tears definitely came once we got home. They still come often and they will for a while....this is a very tough thing to go through. Anyhoo...I got an IV and some pain medicine through that. They also hydrated me through my IV. Mama was concerned about me getting dehydrated. I got some x-rays taken which was quite painful. Moving my leg around and such. Ow. Little later they gave something through my IV that made me unable to feel pain, unable to talk, and unable to move...? Something like that. Basically I think they knocked me out but my eyes were open.....I'm unsure. :-/ So yeah, they did that and then set my leg and put it in a splint. It was very hard waking up from the medicine. I would open my eyes but not be able to keep them open for longer than a few seconds and it was very scary to me. I remember waking up the ceiling started to spin. It was not fun...at all. Finally I woke up and tried to sit up but it just made my head spin. So then eventually they got me in a wheelchair and then in the car and then in the bed at home where I felt much more at comfort. The doctor llikes wiggling my toes. I don't like him wiggling my toes. Because it tingles and I don't like my tingly toes. I don't like the tingles. But I must bear with him wiggling my tingly toes and I must bear it patiently and with the thought that he knows what he's doing. Blegh. As I was gonna say what days we went to the doctor I realized I don't remember what days. So...long story short we went to see the broken foot guy a couple times and I have a "surgery" scheduled for Wednesday. Hopefully they're just gonna knock me out and...for lack of better word, tweak my leg a bit. Then put a cast on it while I'm still out. But they might put a plate and some screws in it. Ergh! I am not looking forward to Wednesday.  So please just PLEEEASE pray for me. To have peace on Wednesday. To not be worried sick (literally). That whatever the doctors do it will go smoothly. For my leg to heal quickly and properly. For the pain to lessen. For Papa and Nana to have a good time with us. For me to feel well when they're here. And to just constantly have peace...I already said that but I don't care... I need peace. I need calm. I need to not be afraid. And whatever else you feel like praying for.  For the doctors to choose what they're going to do wisely. I love you guys.

And now.....for some pictures. :-D

My Mommy makes AH-MAZE-ING Alfredo. And my Daddy's super awesome too because he got shrimp...just for me. :-D

And...because I'm super nice here is a photo of me. Laying in bed with a broken leg. Making a weird face. Because when I smiled it defined my puffy under eyes quite a bit. So I opted for a weird face instead. I least you can't really see how messy my hair is. Iz Ugy. <- Saxon speech. No, Saxon didn't say that about my hair that's just how it would sound if he said it. ;-)

So now I'm gonna go and drink some coffee and ice cold water....which by the way looks delicious...the water. :-) I have an appointment for laying outside on a cot for a while later today because it is GORGEOUS!!! So bye now! Love you!

Oh and, Mama feel free to correct me about anything in the comments. Guys, make sure you check out the comments just in case Mama needed to correct me. I don't want you knowing the wrong thing.  :-)

Wow

I've now started a post three times but I never finished. I was going to rave about how much fun a four wheeler is and how we were going to go on a ride. But no, I'm not going to rave. I went with daddy on it Sunday after church and we had an accident. The trail at the bottom of the hill instead of staying straight leaned to the right. We fell to the right and the four wheeler was on my leg. Thankfully the trail was very close to home and the hospital is very near to us. So we went to the ER. My left leg got broken and I got a few scratches on my knee and back and a little bump on my head. Daddy got a bump on his head and a big bruise on his side. Other than that he's still intact. My leg hurts and sometimes it will feel tight. I have a few appointments. I'm tired and in pain so I'll say bye bye now. I'll try to write another post soon but I might not feel like it. I'm stuck in bed for a while unable to get out of bed. Love you.

And of course please please please pray for me. Thank you so much.

Owie. Waaaaah!! :-(  :-)

Cuties!

Saxon was sleeping on the couch after a bath one day and Millie decided to snuggle him. :-)

My sleeping puppy.  She's so cute with her teeth showing. And then she has her paw on her toy.  Seriously, she is so stinkin' cute!! :-) Even though she can be a handful....or two sometimes. ;-P

That's all for now. Love you!

Coffee and Pictures

Here are the pictures from our drive to Whittier and Seward I said I would put up. Hopefully I'll take better ones with Mamas camera when we go with Papa and Nana. Or just better ones in general. :-) I was kinda in a rush taking these ones.

This is where we saw the otters.

Stone steps on the trail to the glacier viewing. That's my Mama over there in the stripes. :-)

Guys, I promise glaciers are soooo much prettier than this in real life.

Mountains on the glacier viewing trail.

Part of the glacier viewing trail.

More glacier viewing trail.

My dog.....obviously. ( And I totally just said that in a Snape voice) ;-p

Mountains....not sure where.  There's too many mountains to keep track of.

That's all for the Whittier/Seward pictures.

This is actually the street our house is on. Our mailbox is over by the railing.

My SUPER cute brother!!!

For those of you that don't know my Daddy has now started roasting his own coffee beans.  He uses an air popper to roast them. I like to be his cooler-off-er-put 'em in the jar-er. :-D

Freshly roasted beans.

More beans.

The "before" beans.

Gosh, my iPod takes really wretched pictures. I need a camera.

Well, I guess I'll go now. Bye-bye!

Last Weekend

Saturday we went to a Renaissance Fair in Anchorage.  It was a lot of fun. Fun...but hot.  Bub got us kids lemonades....Thanks, Bub!  He wanted a wooden sword but they were way too expensive.  Mama and I got Hennas.  Hers turned out beautifully. Mine was on the top of my foot and I think my skin was too dry because it didn't turn out very well.  And guys, really, walking around I just wanted to be someone who worked there so I could wear a really, super, awesome dress. And be cool. Hehe. But alas, I could not. Oh well, I still had fun.  ;-)

Sunday we decided to skip church and take a drive down to Whittier and Seward so we could check 'em out before we go with Papa and Nana. The drive was of course gorgeous. To get to the small, secluded town of Whittier you had to go through a mountain. It was kinda creepy at first but then it was awesome.  The town of Whittier was, as I have mentioned before, small.  And secluded I guess you could say, as you have to go through a mountain to get to it. It has a lot of boats and its right by the sea. Very pretty. We went down a little trail down to the water and ate some blueberries. (from the store...) And went as far out as we could in the water with our rain boots. I still ended up getting water in my boots. Oops. :-) But we saw two otters out in the water playing.  You could barely see them without binoculars but with the binoculars you could see them much better. They were sooo cute! We then drove to Seward.  That was another tiny little town but we did end up finding where our train would come in. We took another hike to go see a glacier.  You couldn't go up to the glacier but you could get pretty close. Papa and Nana, if you want to do that hike...fine by me. Just don't rush it. Go slow. Otherwise I might die. And wear shorts if it's a hot day. Nana, if the boys decide to go ahead of us....it's   OK. I'll be slow with you. And make sure you eat before you go. Or you might end up starving like me. HaHa...I'm super weird.  But really, it was quite strenuous. I'd rather hike that later this year when we're more in shape. It really was a wonderful hike though. Very pretty going through all the trees and up the rock steps. :-)  Then we got stuff from Carrs for turkey sandwiches. And yogurt. And then we drove home. We got home around 10:30-11:00 I think......and then we slept. :-D

This post should've been posted on Monday but as you can see it was not.....my bad. All the pictures are on my Ipod and I'm on the little laptop so I'll have a picture post soon.

Lots of Love!

My New Look

No, no, I'm sorry, not my new look. My blogs new look. Obviously. :-p I hope you like it.  I tried to be somewhat springy. I'll give it a little while for me to get use to. Or not use to. I might decide I don't like the look of it. Because you know, I just have to always change my mind. :-D
Right now, here it's infested with Mosquitos. Ugh!! But wonderful weather! So that's nice.

Love you!!

Oh and quick question. Are my fonts always hard to read? What about this one? Comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yay! Yay! Yay!

Papa Rich and Nana KK bought their plane tickets!!! We are SO excited that they'll be here....this Summer.  They'll be here July 24th to August 4th.  We'll be taking a cruise and a train ride hopefully.  And I would really like to take a bus tour in Denali. We'll have to see. We'll just do some sightseeing and even if we didn't get to do any of the stuff it would still be fun just since they're here. I absolutely CANNOT wait!!!!

I LOVE YOU PAPA AND NANA!!!!!!!!
