Last Weekend

Saturday we went to a Renaissance Fair in Anchorage.  It was a lot of fun. Fun...but hot.  Bub got us kids lemonades....Thanks, Bub!  He wanted a wooden sword but they were way too expensive.  Mama and I got Hennas.  Hers turned out beautifully. Mine was on the top of my foot and I think my skin was too dry because it didn't turn out very well.  And guys, really, walking around I just wanted to be someone who worked there so I could wear a really, super, awesome dress. And be cool. Hehe. But alas, I could not. Oh well, I still had fun.  ;-)

Sunday we decided to skip church and take a drive down to Whittier and Seward so we could check 'em out before we go with Papa and Nana. The drive was of course gorgeous. To get to the small, secluded town of Whittier you had to go through a mountain. It was kinda creepy at first but then it was awesome.  The town of Whittier was, as I have mentioned before, small.  And secluded I guess you could say, as you have to go through a mountain to get to it. It has a lot of boats and its right by the sea. Very pretty. We went down a little trail down to the water and ate some blueberries. (from the store...) And went as far out as we could in the water with our rain boots. I still ended up getting water in my boots. Oops. :-) But we saw two otters out in the water playing.  You could barely see them without binoculars but with the binoculars you could see them much better. They were sooo cute! We then drove to Seward.  That was another tiny little town but we did end up finding where our train would come in. We took another hike to go see a glacier.  You couldn't go up to the glacier but you could get pretty close. Papa and Nana, if you want to do that hike...fine by me. Just don't rush it. Go slow. Otherwise I might die. And wear shorts if it's a hot day. Nana, if the boys decide to go ahead of us....it's   OK. I'll be slow with you. And make sure you eat before you go. Or you might end up starving like me. HaHa...I'm super weird.  But really, it was quite strenuous. I'd rather hike that later this year when we're more in shape. It really was a wonderful hike though. Very pretty going through all the trees and up the rock steps. :-)  Then we got stuff from Carrs for turkey sandwiches. And yogurt. And then we drove home. We got home around 10:30-11:00 I think......and then we slept. :-D

This post should've been posted on Monday but as you can see it was not.....my bad. All the pictures are on my Ipod and I'm on the little laptop so I'll have a picture post soon.

Lots of Love!
