Hoopie Madness

The Hoops had some soccer games in anchorage again so they came here again!!! We had a lot of fun. We want to Jarah's last soccer game. She didn't win :-( But I think they got second place for their age group in the whole of Alaska. So that's pretty cool.

Getting ready to go to the store.
Taking pictures of people taking pictures. ;-P

Abigail and I. Isn't she beautiful? Notice Leah in the background. LOL

Us four girls.

These two need to get married. Seriously. Saxon and Selah? Adorbs!!!

Holding hands. No one told them to. Awwww!!!

We went to SteamDot in Anch. We were teasing Uncle Kenny about his red socks.

The pretty coffees at SteamDot.

Jarah and I.

They came on Friday and left Sunday. And guess what? I got to go home with them!! It was awesome! Yes, we were squished on the way there but it was totally worth it. That week we just hung out and watched a lot of movies. I was at their house from Sunday to Sunday and Mama came with the boys on Monday. We went home on Friday. We were sad to say bye but it was a lot of fun. They're gonna come again for a weekend around Thanksgiving because they will be in Soldotna with some friends. Thankfully they won't have any soccer so we will just be able to hangout.  :-)

Selah and I.

We took a walk and I tried to get a picture of everyone's shadows.
Left to right: Abigail (well her water bottle anyways), Jarah, me, Leah, Selah (you can see her leg lol), Elijah, and Nathan.

The Hoops cat, Kenai followed us on our walk. It was pretty cute. That's Nathan. ;-)

On Sunday we went to church. It was fun seeing everyone.

The Hoop girls are the most beautiful girls.

And because Blogger would not post this post for some reason....:-/ here it is. :-)

**I would have actually posted this on the correct day but Blogger was acting up :-/ So it's late :-( **
On July 7th I had a broken leg for one year. Okay, so technically my leg isn't broken anymore but whatever. ;-P
I feel like I should be a little further along (with range of motion and nerves) then I am but I'll just be thankful with where I am. Especially since I'm not further because of things I haven't (but should) be doing. :-/
My nerves are doing (much) better then when they got messed up. Half of the bottom of my foot is still funny feeling when I touch it and inbetween my toes is funny feeling.
My ankle stiffened up a little since PT and I don't do all of the exercises I should be doing.
I'm pretty sure my toes are permanently stiffened. Especially my big one. :-(
I no longer sleep with a pillow for my foot. I did for a while but only because it was more comfortable.
I can shower by myself. Standing up. ;-)
I have tried to wear flip flops and it was terrible! So I won't be trying those again for a while.
Somedays I can do a little run (I'm sure it's a terrible run, though) but somedays I just can't.
I usually wear sneakers (thankfully I got cute (and light weight) ones). On Sundays I wear boots. Boots are getting super old. Seriously.  :-( I did order some cute shoes from Crocs that I can wear with my shorter skirts. Because boots only really look cute with longer skirts.
I will have scars from my incisions but I don't really care.
I do not know when my next Dr's appt is because the last time I went I think we scheduled an appt for in four months but we might not have because we didn't know if we were going to move or not.
Probably next year I will have my metal plate and screws taken out.

And now something I've started doing for months just for this post.  Haha! :-)

The night of the accident.

A couple days after.

After my surgery for putting the plate and screws in.

Getting some sun. (And being carried around by daddy)

Pink cast. Yay! No more splint. Wheelchair.

Blue cast that was too tight and painful. (Also, I'm sorry I don't have a better picture). And crutches.

A boot and crutches.

A boot and one crutch. (And 14 years old) ;-)

A brace and two crutches. (I quickly went back to one crutch but I used two just for a couple days while I adjusted to a brace and sneakers)

A brace and cane.

Just a brace. (Sorry, this is a terrible picture.)

Cute sneakers and nothing on my foot! (My sneakers got dirty.)
And
sometimes barefoot. :-)

Thank you, all, for your prayers when I broke my leg. Yes, I was very whimpy and I wrote some pretty dramatic things in some of my posts. But you guys still loved me. ;-) And I love you! <3

Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July!!! We are going to a friends house for a cookout today. I hope that whatever you guys do you'll have lots of fun!

Right by our church there is a kayak rental place that the boys have been wanting to go to for a while now. Daddy said we could but instead we borrowed a friend from church's kayaks and just went to a small little lake last Saturday. It was fun. It was a bit creepy because once you were on the water you could see all he way to the bottom of the lake and it was pretty deep. And I didn't even go to the middle. Ha! Saxon was looking forward to it but once we got there he would NOT get in a kayak. Stinker. I finally convinced him to sit with me just right by the shore but he wouldn't let me paddle anywhere. Daddy and Bub were gonna go across the lake but they turned back halfway...Daddy didn't feel comfortable taking Bub there. It was too deep. Hopefully one day we will be able to buy our own kayaks.

Our neighbours got two goats. Millie goes up and tries to sniff them but if they move she jumps back quick. haha. She's afraid of them. The larger goat gets irritated with her and the very first day she actually jumped up and stomped her hooves on the ground! Millie jumped back quick. The littler goat seems somewhat interested in her and since the neighbours put up a fence for the goats the other day it will be better for both the dog and the goats. I don't have any pictures and videos don't work on blogger.
