Five

Saxon was 5 yesterday! :-0 Where does the time fly? Everyone is growing up way too fast. :-( Well except me...lol. I'll be 15 this year and then next year I'll be 16 which means I'll be able to get my drivers license! I can't wait. Okay, okay, I'm going off topic. Sorry. Anyways Saxon did not want a party and he wanted really simple food.  For breakfast he had Reese's puffs, lunch was plain pasta with butter but we ended up having McDonalds (terrible I know) because we were out shopping and dinner was steak and salad. He wanted a plain chocolate cake and said that Mama could surprise him with the decorations. There was a cake at Fred's that had a little red four wheeler on that that looks like Saxons so Mama bought the four wheeler topper for him and surprised him. :-)

He got a Razor four-wheeler from the Papa's and Nana's. All us kids have been having fun on it. Dudes, it's small okay?
Remember when I use to hate four wheelers and never wanted to touch one? Yeah well I actually kinda like them now...not on hills though!
(The yellow car is not ours. It the neighbors)

Saxon also got a playmobil set, a sweater, and some army dudes. And five dollars. ;-) I think he had a good day. :-)

Pictures! :-)

Baby Saxon! Look at his double chin. Haha.

So cute!

Thumbs up. LOL

Awwwwww

He looks so old here. <3

Eating frosting. ;-) And this picture just goes to prove what I said about him having the best bed head.

Boys love to make messes...whether they be in the mud
 Or flour
:-)

Precious!

1st Birthday!

2nd Birthday!

3rd Birthday! Dude, look at hair! <3

Today:-)

I asked him to make a mean face and he got right up in front of the camera. Lol

Archery

Daddy and Mommy started us in archery classes. The classes will be every Monday for six weeks at 11:00. There were three other kids there. It's a small class which is better for the people learning. It was really fun. Bub and I have been enjoying it a lot. :-)

Mama has been feeling very sick. Thankfully, she has started feeling much better the past few days.

Oh and the other night it was all dark and stormy out and it was actually thundering and lightning! It was so much fun. Thunder and lightning don't happen often in Alaska.

Before it started raining there was a really pretty rainbow. And the sky was all orange in some parts from the setting sun shining through the clouds-so pretty!

This child has the most hilarious bed head.

Byron Glacier Trail

Last Saturday was a beautiful day. The sky was bright blue, with hardly a cloud, and the temperature was lovely (thought it did get a bit hot when we were hiking).

We went to Portage and took a hike up to Byron Glacier. The actual trail did not go all the way to the glacier but you got a pretty good view of it. There was some glacier ice down where you could walk to it so we walked up to it. Some people were walking on the ice which I just have to say is a very foolish thing to do. There are crevasses and some of them are hidden. If you fall into one without being tied up (which they do when they take people on glacier walks) you could totally die. Sad but true. Haha.  It was an easy (until the end when my foot started hurting) 1 mile hike (one way) and the entire hike only gained 300 ft. elevation which is not much compared to some of the hikes. It was a fun hike. Mama was sick most of the time and had a raging headache (which didn't get to it's worse state until on the way home) so it was a little less fun for her.

(You may notice that with some words I put links to them. I figured I should start doing that to the cool things in Alaska. lol)

This is a SteamDot Iced Vanilla Latte. It is so good.

                                                           The mountains on our hike.

When the bushes started to clear up you got an even better view. (and it just gets better)

I love when there's grass and rocks together. I think it's so pretty.

There was a river (with the water coming from the glacier) right by the trail. You could go a few steps off the trail and be on this beautiful rocky shore. The water was freezing!

Pretty mountainside. With some glacier ice in the corner (do not ask me how that glacier ice gets down there so far from the main glacier-I do not know)

                                                                   The pretty river.

Once you reached the end of the main trail you could keep going on closer to the glacier ice. To get there you had to cross this huge place of rocks. When you turned around this is what you saw. I love Alaska!

                                                                       Us three. :-)

I had to include this picture just because it's so funny. I swear it was not night time. Daddy put some weird setting on my phone and this is what happened  HaHa!

We went up to a chunk of glacier ice. Parts of it were so smooth. I touched it. :-) It was very cool.

Chunks of glacier ice. They were so pretty and smooth.

                                                                    More prettiness.

This mountain side was covered in green grass or bushes and it was so pretty.
